JDWguild.com 2.0
New Website up and running!
Still in need of a logo image, banner image and a possible background image.
As always I like feedback - Let me know what we should change and such. I was going to convert user names over but it doesn't like usernames with capital letters SO yea until I code a solotion to that we shall make due with two separate user name databases.
Touk had me change the background so take up complaints with him.

Re: JDWguild.com 2.0
Im a big fan Zal, great work. Here are my thoughts
+ doesnt look like a guild-o-matic homepage anymore + very clean, organized, good for people with OCD + alot more stuff to look at - lots of tabs + more updates mean more inside jokes and lulz
- graphics could use more WoW relevance (not just somethin cliche like a banner of the lich king on his throne but just something to appeal to wow players visually)

Re: JDWguild.com 2.0
I'm not terribly Photoshop inclined mostly because my ADD will kick in if I can't get it to look the way i imagine. I found a lot of intersting background last night ( none with a wow topic ) but, I will flip through my ss's later on and see if I fan find something that has enough pieces I can rip out of it. OR Mc/Obs can use those Photoshop skillZ. The theme, color, images etc can easily be changed but hopefully with the new set up it won't be the red beast everyone was happy to see die and allow me ( or anyone else ) fast updates. If any of you made direct bookmarks make sure you update the path.

Re: JDWguild.com 2.0
Should change the roster page to a page with everyones name then rank, their name being a link to their armory.
This way it will help out anyone who really wants to look at our current roster to check out the guild so they don't have to figure out whos active whos an alt whos an officer alt etc..
Would be a bit of set up work but we hardly change our roster that much so it wouldn't be much to maintain.
Just a thought

Re: JDWguild.com 2.0
Originally (up until a day ago) I had a better listing for it but it started causing some weird errors. If someone is volunteering to type up this info I can easily pipe it into the page Html tags GOGOGOGOGOGO This goes for any of the content sections as well. If there is anything you want to see added and don't mind writing up the content with Html tags for styling, please by all means be my guest Loving the feedback!

what happen to 2.0? it was nice. perhaps some images would of made it a bit better.. like the clean cut look of it, easier to read and to follow imo.

It's still available at http://www.jdwguild.com/joomla/The opinion was that it wasn't that great. Also after thinking about the CMS as a whole joomla was a bit husky for what we are doing. The new setup allows me faster updates. This was a two phase switch since I changed both the backend and the theme itself. I'm sure we will update the theme many many times in the future but this switch was more for the backend and the new look & feel was an added bonus.

Re: JDWguild.com 2.0
I can write up a page for the roster in my spare time at work np.
How would people want it laid out? I have 3 options.
Option A: By Class
Paladin:
Protection: Toukijin Retribution: Midgetkicker Holy: Aleska
Option B: By Assignment
Tank:
Uchiro - Warrior Toukijin - Paladin
Melee DPS:
Entro - DK Steviey - Rogue
Caster DPS:
Lymited - Druid Tita - Bench
Heals:
Zalimar - Druid Timore - Awesome Holy
Option C: Roster by Rank
GM: Toukijin Prot Pally Officer: Ailie Arcane Mage Champion: Mcinaction ?? Hunter (Demoted in my example for flair)
What you think? Feedback on the feedback would help.

I decided to go with your Option C (by Rank) I wrote up the roster in Excel so I can easily change the layout around if people think a different layout would be better. I chose one 'main alt' for those of us who have alts.. if you want your alt to be listed as something other than what I listed it as please let me know and I can change it. (Please note: I will only list alts that are in THIS guild) The name for each main and alt is a direct link the their armory page. The page itself is not formatted to look good atm. I just posted the actual information to get feedback on layout, information listed, etc. Comments appreciated

Re: JDWguild.com 2.0
Okay I'm going to be making a background and logo. That logo will be in a banner that you can use, and you can use that logo if you change the forums. I'll be uploading the .psd in a bit too when its done. As for the roster, I like the ideas everyone is giving. I really love the way Forlorn Legacy does their roster. ( http://forlornlegacy.net/roster.php) I've talked to Aurelius I know he writes the website himself, but I really like the look and layout of it. I'll post when I get the logo done.
